PC users who are looking for a laptop for work or for gaming will usually need to get themselves a powerful computer. For that reason, it is best to get a laptop that it at least 15 inches and above as these machines are as powerful (if not more) than many desktops. Currently, one of the top-of the-line 17-inch laptops is the Toshiba Satellite L355-S7902 17.0-Inch laptop. Toshiba has been making powerful and reliable laptops for many years now and this model proves to be no exception.
The Toshiba Satellite L355-S7902 17.0-Inch laptop comes with a powerful 2.1Ghz T3400 processor (Intel Pentium) and has 3GB of RAM (max of 4GB). It has a spacious 250GB hard drive and a double layer DVD writer. As for graphics performance, this laptop is powered by Intel's GMA X4500 graphics card.
The spacious 17" screen has a 1440 x 900 resolution that is just a dream for multi tasking enthusiasts. It can view HD content with up to 720p in resolution (not bad considering the price range of this model). As of its battery life, it can last up to 2½ hours on a single charge.
One of my favorite features of the Toshiba Satellite L355-S7902 17.0-Inch laptop is that it comes with a whole range of pre-installed software. Instead of the usual 'fluff' software, the laptop has many useful applications such as the Toshiba Face Recognition, Speech System, Orb games console, Google Picasa and more.
Like many 17" laptops, the Toshiba Satellite L355-S7902 17.0-Inch laptop has a full sized keyboard plus a number keypad. All in all, this model proves to be a good buy if you are trying to stretch your dollar. For the price, this model comes with lots of features that are only found in more expensive models, giving you great value for your money.

Flaws of the Asus Eee PC 1000HE 10-inch Netbook
One of the biggest selling points of the Asus Eee PC 1000HE 10-inch netbook is its amazing 9.5 hours of battery life. Although I have no complaints about this, the extended battery life does come at the price. The battery on this new model is heavier than previous models. It is so heavy that it causes an uneven distribution on weight throughout the netbook (may not be a big flaw but a flaw nonetheless).
The design of the Asus Eee PC 1000HE 10-inch netbook could also be improved. The Eee PC series may be a great little notebook in terms of features and performance but one can't help but to wonder if the manufactures even tried to make it look pretty. To put it simply, it looks fat. It lacks the sleek and elegant designs found on competing models such as the Acer Aspire One of the Samsung NC10. The glossy casing is also a fingerprint magnet.
The Asus Eee PC 1000HE 10-inch netbook does not ship with an anti-virus software installed. This is pretty dangerous, as most users would assume that every netbook would come with one. The fan noise can be occasionally loud and it gets pretty warm after a few hours of use. The keyboard seems a little flimsy compared to other models in the market.
Another major flaw with the Asus Eee PC 1000HE 10-inch netbook (or rather the company) is its customer support. To cut a long story short, the front-line customer service reps don't seems to know much and it is very likely that you will be transferred to a few persons before you find your solution.
Although there are a couple of flaws with this netbooks, I must say that the Asus Eee PC 1000HE 10-inch netbook is one currently still one of the best models in the market (it terms of specs and performance). This model remains to be a good choice if you are looking for a netbook that has a great battery life and powerful specs.

Samsung N120-12GBK 10.1-Inch Netbook
Specifications: The Samsung N120-12GBK 10.1-Inch netbook is Samsung's second generation of netbooks. Personally I think the Samsung is slowly trying to compete with Sony's niche by producing a wide range of beautifully designed electronic devices. The specs of this new model are similar to many other netbooks in the market. It is powered by Intel's Atom N270 processor (1.6GHz), has a spacious 160GB hard drive and runs on 1GB of RAM. It uses Windows XP and has a 6-cell battery pack.
Design: The design of the new Samsung N120-12GBK 10.1-Inch netbook alone is a good enough reason for me to get one of these for myself. It sports a new matte casing, which looks really good and is not prone to fingerprints like the older models. It has very rounded curves and looks very good from almost any angle. The new LCD screen has a glossy screen and the size of the track pad have also been increased. Besides the LCD screen are two speakers and there is also a tiny sub-woofer located below the netbook. The size of the keyboard is also larger than its predecessors.
Features & Performance: Performance wise, the Samsung N120-12GBK 10.1-Inch netbook works pretty well, on par with other popular netbooks in the market (such as the Asus Eee and Acer Aspire One). This model has two major selling points that are guaranteed to make it a hot-selling netbook in the market. First of all, the keyboard is one of the biggest found on any netbooks. It is 97% the size of a full size keyboard and provides one of the best typing experience compared to other netbooks models. It also has a SRS 2.1 channel speaker system that produces great audio (probably the best in the market for a netbook). The 6-cell battery can last up to 5 hours of use on a single charge.
Overall:To sum it up, the new Samsung N120-12GBK 10.1-Inch netbook sports 3 major upgrades (a larger keyboard, an improved sound system and better aesthetics). The price of this model is (at the time of writing) around $410 each, which is a little more expensive than other similar models in the market. For me, I think that the new features and improvements found on the new Samsung N120-12GBK 10.1-Inch netbook is worth every penny!

The Top 3 Ultra Portable Notebooks - Why You Want to Own One
While not being the best in terms of power or fastness, the ultra portable notebook is quickly catching up to be the ultimate in terms of features. Those in search of a sleek, thin and designer laptop, an ultra portable notebook might very well be the answer. It`s pretty to look at and also easily portable, but these do come with a hefty price tag! You will have to bury deep into your pockets for being in possession of an ultra portable notebook. These laptops have the potential to be the spearhead in shaping the future scope of technology.
There are a lot many varieties of brands available to the customer of an ultra portable notebook. These not only provide the end user with an extra ordinary degree of maneuverability but also come with the promise of performance that is unmatched. Among the many brands available, the best which can be listed down are notebooks from Apple, Siemens, Lenovo, Samsung, HP, Dell, Fujitsu and Toshiba to name a few. Let us review the top three models in terms of being the best in diversity and user friendliness.
The Apple Macbook Air
The ultra slim notebook is by far the most breathtaking in terms of slimness. It has a 13" screen which is perfect in meeting most of the computing demands. It has an ample storage space of 64GB and comes with an adequate 2GB memory. With this, the Macbook air has the potential to deliver the best. Although empowered with great energy efficiency and striking features, the Apple Macbook Air has its shortfalls in terms of Processor power. The processor power of this ultra portable notebook is just average. This laptop also is deprived of an optical drive and many communication ports which are available in today`s modern day. All in all, this ultra sleek notebook will not suit everybody`s needs.
Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S6410
If we compare the Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S6410, with the Apple Macbook Air, it turns out to be a wee bit heavier. Well, of course, in comparison with the standard Notebook, it is definitely lighter and slimmer. It is a slender piece of a gadget and has been beautifully manufactured. The evidence can be seen in its delicate and intricate features. The Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook scores over other ultra portable laptops in terms of connectivity and performance. The expansion slots, wireless, processing power and storage are all the strengths of this Lifebook. The screen of 13.3`` is in fact amazing. Well, the Lifebook S6410 may not be the ultimate trendy laptop, but it certainly outperforms other ultra portable notebooks in its segment in parameters of performance.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X300
The forte of the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 is its performance and handling ease. The price being same as the MacBook air, it definitely delivers more than it. This notebook is essentially designed for business use and it does so with the help of its excellent speed, solid storage and outstanding memory capacity. It also comes with extended battery life and sharp visuals. In addition to the mentioned features, the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 also offers multiple USB ports, a DVD burner and Audio and Video capabilities. In comparison with its major rivals like MacBook Air, Toshiba Portege and the Dell XPS range, the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 may not be the sleekest or the trendiest laptop but it surely is a strong all rounder because of its design and consistency in performance.
The world of ultra portable notebooks has never ceased to amaze us with its ever innovative designs and features. However, while deciding upon a particular one, the consistency of performance should be the most important parameter.

Why Buy iPhone?
I am sitting in the Hong Kong Airport on my way to Australia for Christmas and I just logged onto eBay and purchased myself the new 16gb 3G iPhone for $818us (inc. Shipping), not a heap purchase for a phone, but wht makes it even more nuts is that I have the Nokia Equivalent the Nokia N95 8gb. I have only used 1 gig on it and havent even installed the software or added the Nokia maps to the phone yet.
Why did I buy myself a new phone when I have one with the same functions (some might say better, the camera on my Nokia is a 5megapixel the iPhone is only 2) Because The iPhone is COOL!
I am telling you what you already know, Apple have built a wonderful brand and even though I know I'm spending $800 on something I already have (and I have another sony phone too, seeing as I can only use one at a time, it was not a purchase that was required) I want it because it has a shiny interface, a cool layout and most of all, it has an apple logo on the back!
I got suckered in by marketing, and more specifically 'public opinion' and I knew it before I chose to search Ebay for it and I know it now after submitting payment...
Marketing lesson? - Build a Brand! It is a must, be it your personal name you want to brand or an alias like I am still considering doing with ViralKing, listen to another company that is cool, and know's how to push peoples emotional triggers, Nike... Just Do It! People trust what they know and will buy from you or your brand based on 3 things:
* They Know You (Hence build a brand)
* They Like You (Make it a Cool Brand... Apple... Cough Cough)
* They Trust You ( Provide a Service You Would Like Others To Provide You)
Just Build Your Brand Already, what are you waiting for?

17 Inch Laptop Bags - Tips & Advice
You've spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a laptop, which to most is a large chunk of cash, and the one important thing you must do is protect it. A laptop bag itself is extremely cheap in comparison to a laptop itself; it only makes sense to purchase one! If you are planning to take your laptop anywhere a laptop bag can be a very convenient and protective means of transportation.
When in the market for purchasing a laptop bag, you will have to ask yourself a few questions before going out and purchasing blindly. Researching anything before purchasing it can save you from many mistakes and frustrations. A simple Google search about what you're thinking about buying can do a lot of good.
The first question you are going to want to ask yourself is what size laptop do you have? If you purchase a bag that is too small, your laptop obviously won't fit in it and that bag won't do you any good! Whereas if you purchase a bag that is too large for your laptop, it will be able to move around and could crash into hard objects causing it damage.
The focus of this article are the 17 inch laptop bags. These are the more rare bags as the 15.4 inch laptops are the most common size you will find. They are easy to find online, but if you are purchasing 17 inch laptop bags from a store you may want to call ahead and see if they stock them. If they don't, you may have to do your shopping online.
You're also going to want to question how many accessories do you have? There are so many things that a bag can carry, but if you don't have all of those items it's not necessary to get the most decked out, compact, efficient bag you can find. When you find one that fits your needs you are saving yourself some money! With 17 inch laptop bags the increase in the size of the bag will usually allow ample space for placing all the accessories you can think of into it.
The last thing you will want to become aware of is you cannot sacrifice quality for fashion! There are huge amounts of great looking bags out there, but be weary if they are a bit on the low priced side. While sometimes you can find a bargain, but you most often get what you pay for. It won't look so good if you've bought a cheap bag and you're carrying around your laptop looking good when all of the sudden it tears open that little hole that started to form and drops your precious computer on the pavement! Be smart, quality first!

Windows Laptops Versus Macbook Models - The Pros and Cons
Nearly every day the consumer is confronted with commercials concerning the ongoing battle between Macs and Windows laptops. Due to the latent economic environment, the consumer must be wise and has to ask which laptop is a better buy.
At face, the better buy would be the Windows operating system laptop. It's low cost and well-established user settings in Windows make it a desirable choice. But now the argument for Windows, on the behalf of software compatibility, has been phased out by Apple's innovative edge.
Macs now run Windows along side of the Mac OS X platform, greatly leveling the gap between the user's preference of the laptop's capacity. Macs can be seen to surpass PCs in the myriad of software built into their machines. Apple's decision to have the Mac offer a vast amount of multi-media software has led to its categorization a "creative" tool. But with the ability to run Windows software on laptops and notebooks and increased options for users to produce audio and visual recordings etc., the term "creative" is hardly a limiting one. In fact, it insinuates that Macs are more concerned with optimizing the use of their notebooks rather than just selling you a product. Sure, PC laptops can be upgraded, cameras and microphones can be attached, but the concept of the laptop style entails user mobility. In the case of the Mac, all of these features are included.
The optimization of use vindicates upon the sole instance that Mac laptops provide their users with built in security. Since Macs aren't as vulnerable as Windows system laptops to viruses, users seldom have to worry about the cost of repair, let alone replacing their computer.
Therein, although the Windows laptop's low cost appears desirable, the Mac's cost can be thought of as an investment. And in times of a struggling economy, we appreciate a safe investment.

USB Boot Vs Dual Boot
Why would anyone want to run 2 or more operating systems on 1 machine?
1. To be able to do more using 2 different operating systems?
2. To be able to work around the restrictions imposed by the IT department?
3. To keep private data private?
Yes all that and probably more reasons that will allow mobile workers to unlock the potential of the machine that they carry around with them while on the move.
Whatever the reason you probably have one since you are still reading this.
I am going to concentrate on the possible ways of doing just that: running another operating system on top of the one that has been preinstalled on your PC.
There are at least 4 ways of doing that and each has its advantages and disadvantages. So here is the list:
- Dual boot
- Virtual Machine
- Live CD
- Boot from a USB key or another USB media
1) Dual Boot is probably the most "ancient" practice of them all.
Advantages: provides full access to bare metal
Disadvantages: set up may be tricky, requires repartitioning of the local HD which goes against the IT department policies
2) Virtual Machine is one of the latest and hottest technologies.
Advantages: can run more than 2 operating systems at the same time
Disadvantages: in a locked down environment admin rights are necessary to install Virtualization software, no direct access to the computer hardware
3) Live CD has been around for a while and is a good way of starting another operating system without any intrusion on the one preinstalled.
Advantages: every PC has a CD (DVD) - ROM and booting from it is usually allowed
Disadvantages: while using the operating system if any data needs to be saved - need write access to the local hard drive on the laptop, burning data back onto the CD/DVD is not possible.
4) Which brings us to the topic of this article: booting from USB
Now this is relatively new and has been used by geeks mainly so far but there is no reason why this should not become main stream.
Advantages: full access to bare metal, no footprint on the preinstalled operating system, personal data can be stored directly on booting media (USB key), data can be encrypted to protect against possible loss of the media
Disadvantages: IT can disable USB boot function, a small item such as a USB key can be easily lost or misplaced, but with the current prices on these the loss is not really a big deal and the data should be regularly backed up in a safe place and possibly encrypted for security.
It is not absolutely necessary to boot into another operating system for personal data protection.
There is a possibility to run applications from USB flash media such as a Web Browser and an e-mail client, this way all the browsing history, e-mails and other personal data stays on the key and will not be accessible to your IT department.

Hacking Mobile Phones For Identity Theft
History indicates that we are at the forefront of an era in which criminal hackers develop tools and techniques to steal your money using your own cell phone.
Fifteen years ago, cell phones were so bulky and cumbersome, they had to be carried in bags or briefcases. Then they became chunky, heavy bricks. Calls dropped every other minute. Clearly, cell phones have evolved since then. Today's cell phone is a lot more than a phone. It's a computer, one that rivals many desktops and laptops being manufactured today. A cell phone can pretty much do everything a PC can do, including online shopping, banking, and merchant credit card processing.
The personal computer started out slow and stodgy, and was mainly used for things like word processing and solitaire. Today, PCs are fast, multimedia machines, capable of performing amazing tasks.
There are consequences to the rapid evolution of these technologies.
A decade ago, during the slow, dial up era, hackers (and, in the beginning, phreakers) hacked for fun and fame. Many wreaked havoc, causing problems that crippled major networks. And they did it without today's sophisticated technology.
Meanwhile, the dot-com boom and bust occurred. Then, as e-commerce picked up speed, high speed and broadband connections made it easier to shop and bank online, quickly and efficiently. Around 2003, social networking was born, in the form of online dating services and Friendster. PCs became integral to our fiscal and social lives. We funneled all our personal and financial information onto our computers, and spent more and more of our time on the Internet. And the speed of technology began to drastically outpace the speed of security. Seeing an opportunity, hackers began hacking for profit, rather than fun and fame.
Now, iPhones and other smart phones have become revolutionary computers themselves. For the next generation, the phone is replacing the PC. AT&T recently announced that they'll be upping the speed of the latest version of their 3G network, doubling download speeds. It has been reported that the next iPhone will have 32 gigabytes. That's more hard drive than my three year old laptop.
So naturally, criminal hackers are considering the possibilities offered by cell phones today, just as they were looking at computers five years ago.
Two things have changed the game: the speed and advancement of technology and spyware. Spyware was created as a legitimate technology for PCs. Spyware tracks and records social network activities, online searches, chats, instant messages, emails sent and received, websites visited, keystrokes typed and programs launched. It can be the equivalent of digital surveillance, revealing every stroke of the user's mouse and keyboard. Parents can use spyware to monitor their young children's surfing habits and employers can make sure their employees are working, as opposed to surfing for porn all day.
Criminal hackers created a cocktail of viruses and spyware, which allows for the infection and duplication of a virus that gives the criminal total, remote access to the user's data. This same technology is being introduced to cell phones as "snoopware." Legitimate uses for snoopware on phones do exist: silently recording caller information, seeing GPS positions, monitoring kids' and employees' mobile web and text messaging activities. Criminal hackers have taken the snoopware and spyware technology even further. Major technology companies agree that almost any cell phone can be hacked into and remotely controlled. Malicious software can be sent to the intended victim disguised as a picture or audio clip, and when the victim clicks on it, malware is installed.
One virus, called "Red Browser," was created specifically to infect mobile phones using Java. It can be installed directly on a phone, should physical access be obtained, or this malicious software can be disguised as a harmless download. Bluetooth infared is also a point of vulnerability. Once installed, the Red Browser virus allows the hacker to remotely control the phone and its features, such as the camera and microphone.
The Kuykendalls, of Tacoma, Washington, found that several of their phones had been hijacked in order to spy on them. They say the hacker was able to turn a compromised phone on and off, use the phone's camera to take pictures, and use the speakerphone as a bug.
If history is any indication of the future, mobile phones, just like computers, will soon be regularly hacked for financial gain. Prepare for mCrime in the form of credit card fraud, identity theft and data breaches.

Few Guidelines When Buying a Laptop
When purchasing your next laptop, in addition to the choice of material or brand or characteristics, it is advisable to ensure the following features:
Weight: a laptop obviously will be transported, therefore it is essential to choose the lightest possible. Be careful however, sometimes the weight is mentioned without the external devices as DVD Writer.
Autonomy: The autonomy of the computer is directly dependent on the consumption of its components and the characteristics of the battery.
Type Ni-Mh battery: are more powerful than nickel-cadmium batteries.
Type Li-Ion battery: rechargeable batteries fitted to most laptops. The Li-Ion batteries offer excellent performance for a modest cost. In addition, the Li-Ion batteries do not suffer of memory effect, which means that it is not necessary to empty the battery completely before recharging the unit.
Type Li-Polymer battery has performance equivalent to the Li-Ion batteries, but much lighter as the liquid electrolyte (or ionic solution) and the micro porous separator of Li-Ion batteries are replaced by a much lighter solid polymer (polyacrylonitrile). However this type of battery is not an asset because the charging time is greater and their life is relatively low. It usually defines the autonomy of the laptop by the average time of activity of the laptop in standby/use.
Temperature of operation: The various components of a laptop work results in an increase in temperature that sometimes could be really high. Overheating could appear too, especially when the laptop works with the screen closed, because this could prevent a good heat dissipation (Joule effect).
Noise: For some models of laptops, the fans used for heat dissipation could be really noisy. It is also the case for the motors driving the rotating hard drives or CD / DVD. It is strongly advised to seek information on the noise level of the computer when it works.
Laptops are more practical than the desktops. You will have the ability to work wherever you go and this could be fun. Probably you will spend a bit more than for a desktop, but if you want to save some money there are always refurbished laptops offers.

Practical Portables - Make Your Netbook Truly Mobile
Netbook Accessories
The netbook is poised to revolutionise the laptop industry. Laptops freed computer users from their homes and offices, and netbooks with accessories will free them from almost every restraint. Knowing what accessories are available for netbooks will help you start to free yourself today.
Batteries
Netbooks are unique because they are so small, and the reduction of size leads to less power usage. In fact, many people buy netbooks specifically for their lowered power usage. So, one of the most popular accessories is an extra battery.
Because netbooks are so small, their batteries are tiny. Some batteries are barely six inches long, and are so light that they wouldn't be noticed in a briefcase or backpack. Having an arsenal of backup batteries for your netbook could eliminate the need for finding power sources for days.
However, recharging each of those batteries one at a time could be frustrating.
Mice
The profile of a netbook is such that either the keyboard or mouse will suffer. Getting a larger mouse area on the netbook results in a smaller keyboard. Fortunately, external USB mice are not only available, but cheap. These mice can be as large as a standard mouse, or micro-sized. Either way, they are an improvement over the tiny mice shipped with netbooks.
Bluetooth
There are those who can easily create a home wireless network with no difficulty, and there are those who have no idea what an IP address is. For the latter, Bluetooth devices are almost essential if one owns a netbook and another computer. Bluetooth accessories allow devices to wirelessly share data without using an external TCP/IP network.
Be warned though, Bluetooth protocols do not allow for the speed of file transfer that wireless users enjoy. Stick to transferring Word documents and transfer big files over external hard drives.
External CD/DVD Drives
The greatest advantage of the netbook can be its greatest disadvantage. To save space, netbook designers scrapped the CD/DVD drive (and the floppy drive, but that was a long time coming). So, to install programs on CD you need an external device.
External Hard Drives
An alternative to an external CD drive is an external hard disk drive. Advanced users can just transfer all their data from CD/DVD to hard drive, and that's all there is to do. Just open the disc contents on the external hard drive and install the program.
Keep in mind though that many external hard drives require external sources of power. Make sure that you get one that is completely powered by USB if your goal is mobility.
Also, external hard drives are completely necessary for backing up your netbook. Because netbooks lack CD/DVD drives, system restorations can only be accomplished from the internal hard drive or USB devices. Rather than restoring from multiple CDs, just make a shadow copy of the entire hard drive on an external and leave the worrying behind.
Monitors
The screen on a netbook is proportionately small compared to the other components. If your netbook is your primary (only) computer, an external VGA monitor can make life much easier when writing reports or watching video.
Most netbooks have an external VGA hookup which can be attached to just about any monitor. While it may not be plug and play, a few clicks in the manufacturer software can normally switch between the monitor and built-in display.
Keyboards
Netbooks commonly have keyboards which are 70-90% the size of normal. So, spending long hours typing can get very tiring on fingers. Also, the odds of typos increase (especially if you have big hands). Getting a nice ergonomic USB keyboard for non-mobile use can really improve your typing and carpal tunnel.
Warmer/Cooler
My personal favorite is the USB warmer/cooler. It is sold under several brands, but each does essentially the same thing. A small box, normally the size of a soda can, is attached to the USB port of a computer. It can heat foods to comfortable temperatures, or keep a drink cold.
If spending time in the wilderness (with your netbook???), I'd take along a USB warmer/cooler just for safety's sake. You could probably store it next to the survival kit when you and your IT buddies go camping.
USB Hub
Most netbooks ship with 2-3 USB ports, but for those of us with a million accessories, a USB hub is vital. USB hubs plug into USB ports and split them into 2-4 extra ports. The results are amazing - you can finally transfer music to your mp3 player, type on a USB keyboard and scroll with a USB mouse, send Bluetooth files, and run a webcam at the same time with all those ports!
Protective Sleeves / Skins
Gone are the days of bulky laptop bags. Netbooks are often stored in conforming sleeves which provide no dropping protection but very good scratch protection. If you are feeling a bit of paranoia over a dropped laptop or distaste over the bland appearance of OEM sleeves, check out the latest netbook sleeves which provide better protection and multiple colors.
Heat Transfer Cooling Systems
Netbook feel a little too hot on your lap? After using compressed air to clear the vents (common problem which causes overheating), check it again. If it's still hot, consider getting a cooling system.
It is completely external - just plug it in and sit it under the laptop. Fans in the cooling device help transfer heat away from your netbook and lap. The net result - your netbook is safer, you're safer, and no skin is charred in the process.
This list is by no means exhaustive. There are so many neat gadgets and netbook accessories to add to your netbook that you could make it just as importable as a desktop computer, should you add too many. Hopefully you can get an idea of what you like and enjoy your netbook that much more!

Laptop Computer Cases - Which One is Right For You?
There are many types of laptop computer cases all in different shapes and sizes. My favorite would be the briefcase model. The reason being that it is a lightweight and strong case and I found a moulded resin case that weighed less than two pounds and when I put in my laptop, charger and some other accessories it weighed less than ten pounds. If you travel to work by any other means than car or bus (train, walking) then you should know that the maximum amount of weight your wrist would be able to take is ten pounds and if you go over that limit with journeys that go over the half an hour mark your wrists will become soar. My briefcase doesn't just hold my laptop, but it can be a support for my notebook and at times serve as a plate for my breakfast. However, for those that are just looking for cases that can be used at home then you will probably have different requirements.
Laptop cases aren't just made in multiple shapes and sizes just to look pretty, they are designed like this for people's different needs. For example, cases with wheels may be great for those who travel a lot. These are great as they make sure that you aren't carrying the whole weight of the laptop and if you have a briefcase style there is no doubt that your shoulders (or even your fingers if you decide to hold it that way) will soon start to hurt. A case with wheels will by no doubt make things a lot easier for you as you won't have to deal with that extra weight alone.
Your laptop weight can also affect the case you should look into. Some people have the luxury of buying the slimmer and lighter laptops, but there are some people who have the multimedia notebooks that can weigh more than 10 pounds with the accessories and then the weight of the bag added onto that could cause a big total in weight. Weight should be at the top of your list of things to consider. No one should try struggling with fifteen pounds, your shoulders and neck will start to get stiff and it will most likely become painful. No matter how nice the case looks leave it alone if it is too heavy.
With this information you should be able to find a nice laptop computer case that will be light on your shoulder and fit your needs.

Laptop Computer Bags - How to Pick Yours
With a huge variety of laptop computer bags, how do you go about choosing the one that is right for you? You need to first consider a few things before hand.
Firstly, what style are you looking for? There are plenty of styles for laptops; briefcases, backpacks, bags that can hold a wide variety of accessories and even bags that will just hold your laptop. Choosing a style is something that will be very important, if you travel to work by train and know that you can't carry a laptop with your fingers think of buying a case with a shoulder strap. When thinking about style you also want to think about the material you would prefer as well. You can go for the cheaper computer bags and buy a ballistic nylon bag or you may consider buying something a bit more stylish and go for a nice leather case for your laptop. When you decide which type of material and the type of case you are looking for then you need to take the next thing into consideration when buying your laptop.
Take it with you!
A really obvious point here, but you would be surprised by how many people don't take their laptop with them and end up having to buy a case without knowing the dimensions or the weight of the laptop. Yes, some cases are specific to screen size (you can go in and buy a case for a 17 inch laptop) but sometimes these may not be the best option because without taking your laptop you don't know if you are able to fit in all your accessories. By taking your laptop to the store you have the ability to find a bag that has enough space for a charger, an extra battery and a book or two. This way you are able to make sure that your case isn't too heavy or looking like a mess. Even if you forget your laptop one thing you need to remember when buying a case is to buy one with padding. No padding can lead to a lot of damage.
Choosing a laptop bag isn't simple, you can't just buy any bag you feel like buying. You need to take things into consideration before you go out and buy it. Keep these guidelines in mind next time you shop (don't forget your laptop!)
As you can see, choosing from any available laptop computer bag is not as simple as picking the first bag you see and leaving. There are things that you should not do without. Keep these guidelines in mind before you shop.

Leather Computer Bags - Things to Look Out For
Leather - A stylish and cool material that smells good and looks great. There are numerous reasons to choose a leather bag and by leather I mean real leather, so if you aren't a big fan of leather then stop reading now. Your laptop is temperamental and needs to be treated well so make sure that you don't buy cheap fake leather (the plastic sort), these just look bad.
Your computer bag should give your laptop some space, but not enough space that when the bag is fastened that the laptop moves around as this can lead to scratches on it. When looking for a good bag you need to find one that has padding inside to stop the laptop from moving as much.
Something you need to make sure that your leather computer bag has is padding. If you see a bag that looks really nice and has no padding then find another one. No matter how nice a bag you see, if it doesn't have all around protection then there is no point buying it. You want to find a bag with a nice padded inner compartment that will absorb all the impact from accidental kicks or bumps as these could damage the outer (or even worse the inside) of your laptop.
The next important thing that your bag should have is enough space for accessories; your charger, extra battery and any other type of cables you may need to carry around. The most important item that should go in your case first is your charger because with no charger you are most likely going to run out of battery in a couple of hours and if you end up getting the short stick and have to work on a project that you would normally do on the train home then you are in a bit of trouble so make sure you carry your charger or an extra battery if possible.
Leather computer bags are nice and stylish, but you need to make sure that they are right for your laptop and also for your needs, so make sure that you have enough space for all extra equipment (including your laptop, of course) and padding to protect everything inside.
